The Ambassadors welcomed the adoption of the BiH Framework Energy Strategy and underlined that Bosnia and Herzegovina opened a new door for the BiH energy sector’s access to European funds, and created a greater momentum in the development and strengthening of investment activities. Apart from the adoption of strategic documents in the field of agriculture, rural development and environmental protection, the ambassadors from the three countries pointed out that an important strategic package for the development of the country has been rounded up during the mandate of Minister Šarović.
The Ambassadors and Minister Šarović talked about the issues of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, which will be on the agenda of the annual OSCE Mediterranean Conference to be held in Spain in October 2018. It was emphasized that by the adoption of the Energy Strategy, the importance of Bosnia and Herzegovina's participation in this Conference will increase significantly.
Minister Šarović announced that the issue of the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the World Trade Organization will be actualized in the first half of October. He also expressed his expectation that a favourable environment will be created for the adoption of the Decision on the Quality of Liquid Petroleum Fuels, by way of which Bosnia and Herzegovina would fulfil the remaining conditions for membership in the World Trade Organization.
