Bosnia and Herzegovina becomes the 144th Contracting Party to the Harmonized System Convention



On 14 August 2012, Bosnia and Herzegovina deposited its instrument of accession to the International Convention on the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (Harmonized System) with the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO) in Brussels.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has thus become the 144th Contracting Party to the Harmonized System Convention in terms of which more than 98% of international merchandise trade is classified.

The Harmonized System Convention will enter into force in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1 January 2014.
