Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time at ATM in Dubai

Delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Ermina Salkicevic-Dizdarevic, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, and Mrs. Branka Djuric, the Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism, during their official visit to the United Arab Emirates, attended the opening ceremony and visited one of the largest and most important world tourism fairs - ATM Dubai, held in the Dubai International Convention an Exhibition Centre from April 30th to May 3th. This year, BiH for the first time represented itself at the ATM.

Tourism potentials of BiH were presented with the cooperation and support of Helen Holidays travel agency in Istanbul, and it was announced that by the middle of June first tourists from the Persian Gulf countries and Turkey would visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Visiting the exhibition stands the BiH delegation gave strong support to our country's tourism sector to get into market competition for each guest, offering quality tourism products based on natural beauty, rich diversity in culture and tradition in a small area.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mrs. Ermina Salkicevic-Dizdarevic used this opportunity for a number of bilateral meetings. She met with the delegation of Turkey led by the Ambassador of Turkey in the UAE, His Excellency Vural Altay, the Turkish Consul General Ms. Elif Comoglu Ulgen and the first Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Turkish Republic Özgür Özaslan. In addition, on the sidelines of the fair, Deputy Minister Salkicevic-Dizdarevic met with the ambassadors of Montenegro and Venezuela, Mr. Aleksandar Erakovic and Mr. Lenin Bandres Herrera, as well as with representatives of the BiH Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.

Mr. Elvir Ibrović was present at the fair on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina Embassy to Saudi Arabia.

The BiH delegation also visited the stall of the Hotel “Terme” from Sarajevo.
