Bosnia and Herzegovina is approved to export chicken meat to the European Union

After intensive efforts by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and the Veterinary Office of BiH, the export of chicken meat from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union has been approved. The European Commission put Bosnia and Herzegovina on the list of countries that have been approved to export chicken meat to the EU.

It is expected that the decision will be officially published in the coming days, and the Veterinary Office of BiH will make a list of companies to be included on the list of chicken meat exporters.

It should be recalled that the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH has been working for a long time to get BiH approved to export chicken meat to the EU. The Inspection Team of the Directorate for Food, Health, Analysis and Audits of the EU was in BiH from 26 September to 6 October 2018 and in the preliminary report issued a positive opinion on the export of the poultry meat to the EU.
