Fourth session of the Joint Economic Commission between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey, held on 26th and 27th June 2012 in Ankara
Delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is led by Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirko Sarovic. Apart from the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, other members of the BiH Delegation are representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of BiH, Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry of Trade and Tourism of the Republic of Srpska and the Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Sarovic, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, signed today an Agreement on Cooperation in Agriculture and Rural Development with Mr. Mehmet Mehdi Eker, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock of the Republic of Turkey. The aim of the Agreement is to create better conditions for the development of bilateral cooperation in agriculture and rural development, in accordance with applicable legislation in both countries.
It is expected that during the Fourth Session of Joint Economic Commission the delegations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey would consider the overall bilateral cooperation, and analyze the degree of development of mutual trade and economic relations, with the aim to intensify the overall economic cooperation and promote foreign investment.
During the session, in addition to agriculture, the two parties will consider possibilities of intensifying cooperation in the fields of veterinary, trade, investment, cooperation in multilateral areas, transportation, environmental protection, tourism, development of cooperation in other areas of mutual interest to both parties.
