Annual meeting of informing donors in the agriculture, food and rural development held on October 10, 2012



Annual meeting of informing donors in the agriculture, food and rural development was held as part of the official presentation of the EU Project “Support to Agricultural Policies and Structures Compatible with the IPARD”.

The meeting was attended by representatives of active donors and representatives of active projects in the areas of agriculture, food and rural development, as well as representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged information on major activities in the field of agriculture, food and rural development and selected the priority areas for action of international donor community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On this occasion, these two equal courses of action of domestic institutions and international donors were stated:

1.        Development of institutions in the system of food safety - preferential in the direction of obtaining export licenses for the EU, establishment of effective systems for official food and feed safety control and improvement of competitiveness and income of farmers.

2.        Activities for achieving usability of IPARD funds

* Preparation and adoption of IPARD

* Conclusion of the Sectoral Agreement

* Reached agreement on a model for IPARD operating structure

* Starting accreditation of IPARD operating structure, for programming - Managing Authority, and for financial management - IPARD Payment System

It was concluded that it is necessary to maintain regular mutual contacts in order to implement these priorities, i.e. to create a common and coherent vision for their implementation.
