Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac asked the Veterinary Office of BiH, in accordance with the Decision of the Council of Ministers of BiH, to ensure 24-hour working hours of inspectors at border crossings, which are designated for transport of goods in transit through BiH.

Minister Košarac pointed out that in the current epidemiological situation caused by the spread of coronavirus, veterinary inspectors should continuously perform all operations related to the transport of goods across the established border crossings.

"Unhindered transport of goods across defined border crossings is a burning need of our citizens and the economy. I believe that all institutions must be at their service at full capacity. Therefore, I asked the Veterinary Office of BiH to urgently take all necessary measures, in order to immediately deploy veterinary inspectors at the identified border crossings and thus enable the smooth transport of goods, "said Minister Košarac and announced that in the coming period he will visit the border crossings.

It should be reminded that the BiH Council of Ministers, at its sixth extraordinary session held on March 24, 2020, passed a Decision determining the border crossings between BiH and Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro for the transport of goods in road transport in transit through Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Pursuant to the mentioned Decision, the border crossings Bijača, Gradiška, Šamac, Neum 1 and Neum 2 were determined for the transport of goods between BiH and Croatia, while the border crossings Rača and Klobuk were determined for the transport of goods between BiH and Serbia, i.e. BiH and Montenegro.
