Minister Sarovic has given his consent to reallocate funds needed to address the problems caused by toxic pyralen

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic has given his consent for redirecting the funds needed for urgent remediation of the pollution caused by pyralenin the business zone Incel in Banja Luka.
This is the funds from the project Environmentally Sound Management of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) in industrial and hazardous waste sectorsimplemented by the UNDP BiH and funded by the Swedish Government (SIDA), which consists of several components. Given the new situation and the urgent need to tackle the problem of toxic pyralen, Minister Sarovic, as a political contact point for the cooperation with the GEF (Global Environment Fund), has given his consent to reallocate the funds from the project in the amount of $ 600,000 for the urgent remediation of the pollution caused by pyralenin Incel, and the prevention of harmful consequences of its impact, as well as to a similar project which will be submitted as a priority by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism.
The above-mentioned consent was preceded by the consultation of Minister Sarovic with representatives of UNDP and SIDA, and the competent entity institutions.
We recall that a high volume of pyralen which has a toxic effect on the health of all living organisms has been foundin the immediate vicinity of the former factory Incel.
