Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic agreed today in Ankara, at a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Turkey, Bekir Pekdemirli, to continue exporting meat from Bosnia and Herzegovina to this country.

“The export of beef will be continued until the end of the year. Bosnia and Herzegovina will be able to export 3,000 tons of boneless meat, with which we will remove the stagnation in realising this arrangement,” Sarovic said after the meeting.

Namely, as the Free Trade Agreement between BiH and the Republic of Turkey is still awaiting ratification by the Parliaments, Minister Sarovic requested that exports to this country continue without interruption, so that BiH businessmen would not suffer the consequences of waiting.

As a reminder, Turkey is one of Bosnia’s most important foreign trade partners and the volume of trade between the two countries is 700 million US Dollars.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed the overall trade between the two countries and the long-term arrangements agreed through the Free Trade Agreement.

During the visit to Turkey, Minister Sarovic will also meet with the Minister of Trade of this country, Ruhsar Pekcan tomorrow.
