10/08/2019
Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic leads the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Belgrade, at a Conference of China and 17 countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The Belgrade Declaration on Innovation Cooperation was adopted at the Conference, establishing a common vision for innovation-based development of the countries participating in the China and Central and Eastern European Mechanism.
Emphasizing that innovation through entrepreneurship drives the world as well as the national economy and contributes to raising the economy and quality of life of citizens, Minister Sarovic noted that it is important for all countries to shape their innovation policies. "There is not enough investment in either R&D or innovation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was important for us to start making such moves, so that we can move forward and take advantage of opportunities to improve the overall economy," Minister Sarovic said on this occasion.
The Belgrade Declaration provides for, among other things, the mutual support of the 17 + 1 countries in the creation of innovation policies and laws.
The two-day conference in Belgrade is one of the most important platforms for cooperation with China as a country leading in innovation, artificial intelligence, robotics and digitization.
