Brussels, 01 March 2016 - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers BiH and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations BiH Mirko Šarović met today in Brussels with Johannes Hahn, the Commissioner of the European Commission, within the framework of the meeting of Ministers of the Western Balkans in charge of Energy and Transport. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Communications and Transport BiH Saša Dalipagić.

Achievements and results so far, of the so-called Berlin Process and the progress of each country in the implementation of soft measures in the field of energy and transport, were discussed at the meeting.

Potential priority projects in these fields at the upcoming summit of leaders of the Western Balkans in Paris, which will be held in early July this year, were on the agenda, as well as the obstacles that stand in the way of including the projects. At the end of the meeting ministers from the region signed a joint statement.

During his one-day visit to Brussels, in the morning hours at the headquarters of the Secretariat of the Energy Charter in Brussels, Minister Šarović has, on the behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed the International Energy Charter and thus made official the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to this important international document in the field of energy.
