MINISTER ŠAROVIĆ SIGNED CONTRACTS: BAM 500 000 KM FOR SREBRENICA AND BAM 450 000 KM FOR ISTOČNA ILIDŽA

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović signed today with the Mayors of Srebrenica and Istočna Ilidža municipalities, Mladen Grujičić and Marinko Božović, contracts on allocation of funds from the Council of Ministers of BiH for priority infrastructure projects. These are funds from the clearing debt of the Russian Federation paid to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

With the grant agreement to the Municipality of Srebrenica, this local community is enabled to use funds in the amount of BAM 500 000 for priority infrastructure projects. The Mayor of the Municipality, Mladen Grujičić expressed his gratitude for the efforts and support of Minister Šarović. "The funds will be spent on four projects, asphalting three roads and reconstruction of elevators, which have received unanimous support from the Municipal Assembly of Srebrenica and whose realization will be in the interest of all citizens," Grujičić underlined after the signing.

 

The Municipality of Istočna Ilidža through this contract received funds for the Project for protection of the drinking water source Sarajevsko polje in the amount of BAM 450 000. "This contract is important not only for the citizens of Istočno Sarajevo, but also much wider, because it is about protecting the water source supplying the whole of Sarajevo," said Marinko Božović, the Mayor of the Istočna Ilidža Municipality.

 

Minister Šarović expressed his great satisfaction with the conclusion of the contract on allocation of funds, because in this way they directly help local communities whose accelerated infrastructure and economic development is a key priority.
