Minister Šarović discussed the promotion of cooperation with Liu Haixing the new Secretary-General for Cooperation between China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries

SARAJEVO, 22 January, 2016

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations BiH Mirko Šarović received today a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, led by Mr. Liu Haixing, Secretary-General for Cooperation between People's Republic of China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries.

Today's visit of Mr. Liu Haixing is his first visit to a country after his appointment as the Secretary-General.

A part of the Chinese delegation were also other officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, as well as the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to BiH Chen Bo.

At the meeting they discussed several key topics within the framework of cooperation between China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries, the performance of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the upcoming EXPO in Ningbo, as well as other issues in fields of energy and infrastructure.

Participants of the meeting emphasized mutual satisfaction with the significant progress in cooperation between the two countries during 2015, and expressed the expectation that the successful cooperation will continue during 2016.
