Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Boris Tučić met today in Brussels with representatives of the European Service for External Relations. On this occasion they talked about the perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path towards the European Union, the redefinition of relations of the EU to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the implementation of social and economic reforms, meeting the requirements related to the use of IPA funds in Bosnia i Herzegovina, but also stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina still needs to work on implementation of the Sejdic and Finci judgement, as well as the establishment of a mechanism in the field of European integration.

After the meeting, Minister Tučić met with representatives of the Directorate General for Enlargement, as well as with representatives of the Directorate-General for Agriculture and with other representatives of the European Commission. They talked about the placement of milk and milk products to EU markets, evaluation of export mercantile potatoes from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU, as well as the obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of energy, the open issues related to the failure to hold temporary subcommittees between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU, and other issues relevant to the candidate status for membership in the European Union.
