30 October 2014, Sarajevo - Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of B&H and Veterinary Office of B&H are informed by Food and Veterinary Agency of Kosovo about the removing suspension on imports of products of animal origin from Bosnia and Herzegovin to Kosovo from Wednsndey, 29 October 2014, unilateraly introduced by the Kosovo institutions at the end of August 2014. Therefore, as stated in the letter of Food and Veterinary Agency of Kosovo, continued sale of products categories from B&H to Kosovo Customs area is enabled.
Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations B&H and Veterinary Office B&H point out once again that the introduction of suspending measures by the Kosovo institutions has been completely groundless and in collision with modern rules of international trade which are, among other things, contained in the CEFTA Agreement 2006, which Parties are both B&H and Kosovo, and that this act of Kosovo institutions caused irreparable damage not only to the B&H exporters, but also entire dairy production in B&H.
It should be pointed out that Ministry of Foreign Trade and Econimic Relations B&H and Vetrinary Office B&H, within its competences defined by Law, in the previous period took the whole set of measures and actions on the internal, as well as extrernal plan in order to remove suspending measures indroduced by Kosovo institutions in the shortest time period. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations B&H and Veterinary Office B&H expressed a firm commitment to continue insisting on respectation of trade rules contractually obliged for the all entities in the region, within competent CEFTA bodies and in future contacts with EU institutions.
