Minister Košarac's Open Letter to The Citizens of Republika Srpska, Federation of BiH and Brčko District

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Staša Košarac, sent an Open Letter to the citizens of the Republika Srpska, the Federation of BiH and the Brčko District, as follows:

 

"Dear citizens,

 

We are facing a global challenge caused by the spread of the coronavirus, which will define our era. The decisions we make today will mark our society in the years to come. In circumstances where social distance is the best way to take care of each other, we must not distance ourselves from solidarity.

 

That is why I invite you to show solidarity together with domestic businessmen, who are doing their business with difficulty in the new circumstances. Our companies employ our families, neighbors, friends, acquaintances. They employ our citizens! By purchasing local products, we directly help to preserve existing and create new jobs, which is crucial in this time of uncertainty.

 

Local products are the result of hard work, commitment and sacrifice of our producers. This guarantees us the quality of recognizable content. That is why I invite you to pay attention when shopping and always give preference to local products, since the efforts of our people are incorporated in them.

 

By purchasing local products, we contribute to the stability of the health and educational systems, as well as the pension fund. In that way, we will indirectly express our gratitude to the relentless fight and selfless commitment of our health and education workers, but also show our care for our citizens of the third age in the circumstances we are faced with.

 

I encourage you to buy local products, because such a decision builds our community and represents investing in future generations. Our support to domestic businessmen gives them both a chance and hope to survive in these difficult times.

 

So - buy local, because ours is better!
