Support of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations to the military industry of BiH

Sarajevo, 28 January, 2016 - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations BiH Mirko Šarović held a meeting today with the representatives of companies that deal with the production of military equipment and weapons.

At the meeting it was emphasized that this is a very important export sector for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which in 2015 achieved almost a 100% increase in the production compared to the year before.

One of the topics at the meeting was presentation of the two new laws that the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations sent into the procedure, which regulate foreign trade of the strategic commodities and should contribute to the efficiency in obtaining the necessary documents.

It was emphasized that good cooperation between the Ministry and companies of the military industry should be continued, and good opportunity for that are also meetings like this, during which future steps would be agreed upon jointly.
