MEMORANDUM ON TOURISM COOPERATION BETWEEN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA AND ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN

August 28th, 2012 – Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirko Sarovic and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to BiH, H.E. Gholamreza Yousefi signed today in Sarajevo the Memorandum on Cooperation in the field of Tourism between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
By signing this Memorandum, the two countries agreed to strive to promote cooperation in various aspects of tourism, and, in accordance with the legislation and their international obligations, exchange information, statistical data, printed and promotional materials.
This Memorandum will allow for exchange of knowledge and practical experience in various fields of tourism activities in the two countries and establishment of technical cooperation; it will also enable training of professional personnel employed in the tourism sector, as well as the exchange of students, lecturers and experts. Mutual promotion of tourism potential will contribute to better understanding between tourists of the two countries and thus increase tourist traffic.
Today's act of signing is of great importance for BiH because it contributes to intensifying and strengthening intergovernmental cooperation in the field of tourism in accordance with the principles of the World Tourism Organization.
