Sarajevo, 9 February 2015 - Final conference of the EU Twinning Light Project to support the export potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the title "Support to enhancing export potential of agricultural and food products to the EU". Project partners are the State Service for Veterinary and Food of the Republic of Lithuania, the Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Food Safety Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Representatives of all relevant levels of Government in Bosnia and Herzegovina attended the conference as well as representatives of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina and experts from EU member states. As one of the participants in the conference, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarevic expressed her full support to this project and the cooperation between the Food Safety Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the State Service for Veterinary and Food of the Republic of Lithuania, which provides a good basis for enabling the export of food products from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union. In her speech, Ms. Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarevic emphasized the seriousness of the situation in the field of exporting agricultural and food products from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union and the need to revise the legal regulations regulating this area with the aim of ensuring a high level of public health and protection of animal health and meeting EU conditions in terms of imports.
At the end of the speech, Deputy Minister thanked the organizers on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and congratulated the partners of the project on a very successful realization of this project.
