ŠAROVIĆ - CHEN BO: BIG STEPS FORWARD DURING MINISTER ŠAROVIĆ’S MANDATE

“Huge progress has been made during the term of Minister Šarović in the foreign trade of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has increased by more than 100 percent with the Republic of China", it was stressed during today's meeting of Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to BiH, Chen Bo and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Šarović.

 

Minister Šarović, who is also the national coordinator for cooperation with the People's Republic of China, has ensured the signing of several key agreements important for the improvement of economic cooperation, such as agreements in the field of agriculture and veterinary medicine, which allowed Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time to export food of animal origin to China, it was said, among other things, in the meeting.

 

It was emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina has also become part of the largest Chinese project - "One Belt, One Road", through which the People's Republic of China made available more than EUR 100 billion for various projects. Also, an agreement on visa liberalization has been signed, which has already placed Chinese tourists in the fifth place by the number of those who visited BiH this year, and it is expected that next year our country will be visited by about 100 000 Chinese tourists.

 

The Ambassador of PR China announced the arrival of Deputy Minister of Trade, Fu Ziying, who, in order to discuss further progress of trade, investments and progress in the implementation of projects, especially those relating to road infrastructure in the Republic of Srpska, will meet with Minister Šarović. Fu Ziying will lead the Chinese delegation at the meeting of the Joint Committee on Trade and Economy of China and BiH in Sarajevo from 27 to 29 September.
