29.5.2015 - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović and the Italian Ambassador HE Ruggero Corrias met today at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was concluded in the meeting that the Republic of Italy is one of the most important foreign trade partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a total volume of trade amounting to almost three billion BAM, in which the export-import ratio is over 70%.
The two sides negotiated an intergovernmental agreement on economic cooperation which is expected to be signed soon and which would allow even greater economic cooperation, in particular investments from the Republic of Italy in various economic sectors in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Šarović thanked especially for the support that the Government of Italy gave to the flooded areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina last year, and Ambassador Corrias announced new financial support for six municipalities in BiH: Zvornik, Srebrenica, Derventa, Orašje, Maglaj, and Sanski Most.
