METEENG BETWEEN MINISTER ŠAROVIĆ AND MINISTER SULEJMAN UGLJANIN

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Mirko Šarović met with a minister in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Sulejman Ugljanin. On this occasion, the two ministers discussed the possibilities of joint approach of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro towards the European Union in connection with issues relating to cross-border cooperation.

Minister Ugljanin informed Minister Šarović of the activities of the Serbian Government related to the development of underdeveloped areas, and creation of conditions for the improvement of the business climate and attracting investment.

They also discussed issues related to the development of environmental, infrastructural and employment policies in these areas, as well as the possibilities of a joint approach to EU funds and funds of countries with which both countries have good political relations.

Minister Šarović welcomed this initiative and suggested that the competent ministry of Montenegro should be informed about it, so that it could be elaborated. As a possibility for the realization of the said initiative, the ministers agreed to start a procedure of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the competent ministries of the three countries.
