Meeting with BiH ambassadors

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic received today a number of new appointed ambassadors and general consuls of Bosnia and Herzegovina who had completed their preparations to go to different destinations in Europe and worldwide.

The meeting was attended by the new appointed ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the following countries: Macedonia, the Kingdom of Norway, the USA, Germany, the Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Hungary, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as well as the Ambassador of BiH to the EU, Ambassador of the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations and the Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Istanbul.

After the presentation, the Ambassadors and Minister Sarovic talked about current relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the countries the ambassadors had been appointed to. The priorities and steps were named that should be taken as soon as possible to facilitate trade and exchange, and establish better economic relations with these countries.

It was concluded that for Bosnia and Herzegovina it is necessary to be represented as a serious and suitable partner for cooperation and attracting foreign investment, especially in this time of economic crisis and its negative impact on the global economy.

Minister Sarovic supported the initiative to send economic attachés to the countries with which Bosnia and Herzegovina has economic cooperation in order to promote exports from BiH and to find business partners to improve this cooperation.
