Mr. Sigmund Nemeti, an adviser to the Ambassador and Mr. Borislav Vukovic, an adviser to the Minister also attended the meeting.

It was jointly concluded that the foreign trade exchange between BiH and Austria has a growing trend, especially in favor of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that Austria is one of the most important investors in BiH – the ongoing trend resulting from the successful implementation of signed Agreements on investment protection and avoidance of double taxation. According to indicators from 2011, Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the first time, has a significant foreign trade surplus with Austria.

It was pointed out that political stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the key factors for attracting foreign investment.

The Minister informed the Ambassador about the activities of the Ministry, especially in connection with the adoption of European Directives and the implementation of the Law on State Aid, as well as the implementation of IPA projects for pre-accession assistance to BiH.

Ambassador Köck expressed his expectation that the positive trend of cooperation between the two countries will continue in the future, and that the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina will have a special role in it.
