Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations met with Ambassador Fletcher M. Burton, Head of the OSCE

Sarajevo, April 3, 2012 – Minister Sarovic met today with the OSCE Mission to BiH representatives: Ambassador Fletcher M. Burton and Director of Security Co-operation Victor von Wilcken.

Ambassador Burton congratulated Minister Sarovic on his appointment, and on his part the Minister informed the Ambassador about the activities of the Ministry.

Both parties stated that as Croatia is set to become the 28^th member state of the European Union Bosnia and Herzegovina must be prepared to overcome many obstacles, among which the largest are: harmonization of regulations adopted in different institutions and at different levels; necessary laboratory equipment that is within the scope of European standards, as well as training and education of manufacturers and adjustment of production facilities.

Brigadier General (Ret'd) Victor von Wilcken stressed that the OSCE Mission to BiH has provided support to the development of BiH, and that this will be continued in the future.

Minister Sarovic suggested that the OSCE Representatives send an initiative for training of personnel of this Ministry, because that is a key factor on BiH’s way to the EU.

Participants concluded that the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in its work has the full support of the OSCE Mission to BiH.
