The reason for holding the meeting was an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations for the adoption of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Excise Duties in Bosnia and Herzegovina, relating to exemption from payment of excise duties and road tax on diesel fuel (blue diesel) used in the primary agricultural production.
Minister Sarovic presented the Initiative to the participants, noting that similar initiatives had been started in previous years but did not receive positive opinions and emphasizing that a series of consultation had been carried out with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, the competent Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Indirect Taxation Authority, chambers, and associations of farmers.
All those present at the meeting welcomed the actualization of the initiative for the introduction of "blue diesel" which would greatly facilitate the operations of the Agricultural sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
