Meeting with the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey

The Minister ofForeign Trade and Economic Relations, Mirko Sarovic met with the Turkish Trade Minister, Ruhsar Pekcan today to discuss improving the economic and, most particularly trade cooperation between the two countries.

The focus of the talks was to improve co-operation in areas where there is a serious imbalance in trade, which affects the overall foreign trade balance of the two countries.

Ministers Sarovic and Pekcan agreed to actively work on preparing for the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement, which should enter into force soon.

The Ministers agreed to start activities in the near future to prepare for the trilateral meeting of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Turkey, as well as the Joint Committee of Turkey and BiH, most probably by the end of the year in Sarajevo.
