Deputy Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers, Mirko Šarović and FBiH Prime Minister, Fadil Novalić met in Sarajevo today with the associate commissioner for "Agrokor", Fabris Peruski, and his associates to discuss the current situation in the Agrokor system.

The Agrokor commissioner informed the attendees that the settlement of Agrokor's takeover by the creditor was successfully implemented, and that full implementation of the takeover is expected after resolving the submitted appeals to the Supreme Commercial Court by the end of 2018.

When it comes to business in BiH, company restructuring has been successfully carried out and, according to Minister Šarović, the process of job losses has been stopped.

The outflow of labor is limited to a maximum of 10%, and the state of settling obligations towards suppliers is satisfactory, especially when it comes to "Merkator". Total revenue of Konzum was 5% lower than last year, which had been expected", said Minister Šarović.

The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić said that the whole system of doing business in “Agrokor” is stabilized and emphasized that “the worst time is behind us”.

The future business of Agrokor will be based on three pillars: trade, food and agriculture, and the focus is on strengthening market share and business results, which is especially significant if it is known that companies within Agrokor, with EUR 6.5 billion of annual turnover and 50,000 employees in the countries of the region, are significant factors of market stability and the development of the overall economy.
