Meeting in Warsaw

A BiH delegation, led by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Vjekoslav Bevanda and that included the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Mr. Mirko Sarovic visited on 26 April, 2012 the Polish capital, Warsaw.
The BiH delegation was invited to Poland to attend the meeting of Heads of Governments of Central Europe and the People's Republic of China in Warsaw, held at the Royal castle in Warsaw and hosted by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, as well as to attend the European Economic Summit following the conference.
Chairman Bevanda and Minister Sarovic availed themselves of this opportunity to hold a bilateral meeting with the Premier of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Wen Jiabao.
The progress achieved in cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of China was welcomed at the meeting and highlighted the importance of closer economic ties to promote national development and regional cooperation.
The Chinese Premier stressed that his country supports the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that there is great potential for even better cooperation between the two countries, and among other things, suggested that BiH participates in the Alliance for the Promotion of Tourism between the People's Republic of China and the countries of Central Europe.
The European Economic Summit was held on the same day. In addition to hundreds of businessmen from the People's Republic of China, businessmen from 17 countries of Central and Southeastern Europe participated. BiH Foreign Trade Chamber and the Agency for Promotion of Foreign Investments in BiH were presented at this summit.
Concrete projects were discussed at the summit, and the Chinese Premier announced that China would set up a 10 billion U.S. dollar line of credit to support cooperative projects with Central and Eastern Europe.
The purpose of the one-day summit was to strengthen economic cooperation and investment, and the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH enabled businessmen from Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in the summit, where they had the opportunity to create new business relationships.
Chairman Bevanda and Minister Sarovic also had a bilateral meeting in Warsaw with the delegation of Montenegro, led by Prime Minister Igor Luksic. Prime Minister Luksic suggested that a meeting should soon be held in Podgorica between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, with energy as the most important topic.
