Meeting of Deputy Minister Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević with Director of USAID-REAP project, Ognjen Marković

Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ms. Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarevic met with the director of the USAID-REAP project, Mr. Ognjen Marković in MoFTER.

The theme of the meeting was the role of the USAID-REAP project in continuing reforms of the energy sector with a particular emphasis on the regulatory framework and support to the integration of the energy sector in the regional and EU markets.

Mr. Marković briefed the Deputy Minister on what had been done to reform the energy sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the next steps in order to fulfill obligations under the Treaty establishing the Energy Community.

It was agreed that in the future, as part of the completion of the USAID Project implementation process, a panel discussion should be organized with the responsible parties in the energy sector at all levels of the executive legislative authorities, where the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, helped by the REAP project, would present its assumed international obligations in the energy sector.

Since the implementation of the given USAID REAP project ends at the end of this year, Deputy Minister thanked the USAID- REAP project management for all they had done during the implementation of the project on the reform of the energy sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
