Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović met today with a delegation of the large Chinese province of Liaoning, which has 50 million inhabitants and with whom the future models of trade-economic cooperation and investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina have been agreed.

Finding these talks very useful, Minister Šarović emphasized the importance of all the important conditions having been met and key agreements signed in order for the cooperation with China to continue to grow. "We expect to achieve EUR 750 million in mutual trade this year, which is a huge step for our country, and most importantly, we have created conditions for further progress," the Minister said.

Liaoning Provincial Deputy Governor Chen Lupin expressed interest in the agricultural and food sector, especially for the import of wine, fruit juices and honey from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also pointed out that there is a great interest of businessmen to invest in our country in the field of energy and infrastructure, and especially road infrastructure.

Liaoning Province last year achieved $ 67 billion in commodity exchange with the world through industrial parks in the so-called silk project “One Belt, One Road”, and Bosnia and Herzegovina is among the first countries that became part of this global project.
