Deputy Minister Ermina Salkicevic-Dizdarevic at Economic Forum Bosnia and Herzegovina – Slovak Republic

Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ermina Salkicevic-Dizdarevic took an active role in the Economic Forum between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Slovak Republic, held on the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 27th, 2012. About 20 representatives of Slovakian major companies from all sectors of economic activity interested in trade with BiH or achieving some other type of cooperation attended the Forum.
The Slovakian Delegation was led by Mr. Igor Junas, President of the Chamber of Commerce in Bratislava, accompanied by Michal Kardos, Head of International Economic Cooperation Department at Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency.
In her address, Deputy Minister pointed out that in recent years the economic relations between the two countries have improved and that BiH is very interested in further development of economic and trade relations with the Republic of Slovakia, in terms of increasing the volume of trade, and in particular of cooperation in the field of investment.
She also stressed the upcoming session of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation between BiH and the Republic of Slovakia as a way to improve economic cooperation. This first session of the Joint Commission is to be held in early 2013.
“BiH side expects that investors from the Slovak Republic will use the opportunities to invest in BiH through investment projects that will be presented at the Economic Forum, as well as through the exchange of information with relevant BiH institutions and organizing mutual visits by representatives of the private sector. The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to fully support every aspect of the activities of institutions responsible for the promotion of investment and exports between the two countries, which will further strengthen mutual cooperation and help establish closer ties between the business communities of the two countries.”, Mrs. Salkicevic Dizdarevic said in her speech.
