Sarajevo, 16.4.2013 – The Joint Committee on Economic Reforms and Development in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the project of strengthening the Parliament continued with the organization of conference series titled "Economic and legal issues in the context of EU Integration".

The conference was opened by Ms. Sabina Wölkner, representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina,Mrs. Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarevic in her address pointed out that "It is necessary to create partnerships at all levels of executive and legislative authority with the academic community and the business sector, because that is the only way we can make the necessary synergy between those who know what they need with the suggestions of those who know how to do it and those who are in a position to do so. Major infrastructure projects and regional approach are the basis for future prosperity, and branches of economy such as agriculture and industry are the basis for reduction of poverty of a large part of the population in the region, including Bosnia and Herzegovina. "

Conference consisted of two parts, which were related to macroeconomic indicators and economic trends and the Strategy of development and competitiveness of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The participants were Mrs. Ljerka Marić, Director of the Directorate for Economic Planning of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Dr Slavica Penev, Institute of Economic Sciences Belgrade; Aleksandar Damjanović, Chair of Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget, Parliament of Montenegro; Prof. Dr. Rajko Tomaš, Faculty of Economics, Banja Luka; Prof. Vjekoslav Domljan, Faculty of Economics, Sarajevo; Doc. Dr. Muammar Halilbašić, Director of the Institute of Economics Sarajevo, and Dr. Danijela Martinović, Chair of the Joint Committee on Economic Reforms and Development.

The conference was attended by representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as representatives of the House of Representatives and House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
