Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ms. Ermina Salkicevic-Dizdarevic participated in conference "Balkan Security, Technology and Education - Challenges in the World of Cyber Infrastructure"

The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized an international conference -”Balkan Security, Technology and Education: The Challenges Within the Cyber Infrastructure”, held at the Parliament Assembly room in Sarajevo on September 13th, 2012. Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended this conference.

The aim of the conference was to emphasize the necessity of cooperation between the countries of Southeast Europe in the area of ​​cyber crime that emerged with the development of new technologies.

The Conference was addressed by Bakir Izetbegovic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Prcic, President of the American University in Bosnia and Nicholas Hill, Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia.

The conference was divided into three plenary sessions, covering the following topics:

- “Comprehensive and interrelated security and future cooperation in the Balkans",

 - "The dominant security threat and response mechanisms: Cyber ​​crime, terrorism, organized crime and other modern growing challenges ", and

 - "The relationship between government, business, education and security".

The conference resulted in the adoption of a number of conclusions and the adoption of the Joint Statement of Ministers of Security and Internal Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey.
