Official presentation of the EU project the “Support to Agricultural Policies and Structures Compatible with the IPARD“, held on October 10, 2012

The purpose of the project is to support improvement of agriculture and rural development in Bosnia and Herzegovina particularly through support to development of structures aligned with the EU for future use of the financial support of the European Union.

The main project partners are the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, the Office for Coordination and Harmonization of Payment in Agriculture, Food and Rural Development of BiH, the Entity Ministries of Agriculture and the Department of Agriculture of the Brcko District. The main focus of the project activities will be on development of human and institutional capacities at all levels to harmonize the progressive harmonization of government policies and measures with the EU Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) and its components related to rural development (IPARD).

Training and support will be provided to rural communities involved in rural development planning and programming leaders will be trained to plan, conduct consultations, disseminate, implement and monitor the impact of government support for agriculture and rural development, in accordance with the requirements of IPARD and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

“Support to Agricultural Policies and Structures Compatible with the IPARD“ is a project that lasts for 23 months and it is funded by the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA 2008), with a budget of over two million EUR. The project is implemented by a consortium led by Hulla&Co Human Dynamics, in partnership with Bolt International Consulting (GR), Regional Development Agency ANKO (Greece), TeamNet International (RO) and the Network for Economic Cooperation (BA).
