Bilateral protocol on market access between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America in the process of BiH accession to the WTO

A bilateral protocol on market access between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America was signed in Geneva on July 26, 2018 in the framework of the BiH accession negotiations with the World Trade Organization (WTO)
On behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Protocol was signed by Hamdo Tinjak, the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and Head of the Negotiating Team in the US Mission in Geneva. On behalf of the United States of America, the Protocol was signed by H.E. Dennis Shea, ambassador, the deputy US Trade Representative and Permanent Representative of the United States to the WTO.
The signing of the Protocol with the United States of America for Bosnia and Herzegovina represents a key step towards the completion of the WTO accession negotiations and the acquisition of full BiH membership of this organization as well as a significant precondition for improving trade relations with the United States.
