BiH Framework Energy Strategy adopted

At the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Decision on the adoption of the Framework Energy Strategy of Bosnia and Herzegovina by 2035, which creates the conditions for withdrawing IPA and WBIF energy resources in BiH and for attracting other investors in the energy sector.

The adoption of this strategic document gives the direction of energy development in Bosnia and Herzegovina until 2035, which will positively influence the launching of investments and market and regulatory reforms in all segments of the energy sector. Its secondary effects are expected to lead to higher employment, a reduction in public debt and an increase in competitiveness in BiH.

This document was created by the cooperation of relevant ministries, relevant institutions, research centers, associations and social partners and other stakeholders from the energy sector in BiH. It was created modularly, and the entity strategic documents for the field of energy were taken as the basis.
